Today we took a formal note:

Algebra Vocabulary
  • A variable is a symbol, usually a letter of the alphabet that stands for an unkown number (ex: x)
  • An expression is a combination of variables, numbers and at least one operatopm (ex: 2x+3 or 4x - 3y +14z -24)
  • An equation is a sentence that contains an equal sign (ex: 2x+3 = 23)

Homework 1)Finish Adding, Subtracting, Multiplying, Dividing Integers worksheet (both sides)

2) Test Monday - +, -, * / Integers. Adding and subtracting fractions including whole numbers
